Trine - Part 3 to End

Honestly, It's kind a hard with a game that's much more about the platforming and gameplay to try to stretch out a blog post about it. The rest of the game is pretty straight-forward. A bunch of more platforming challenges with some added difficulty. A few new mechanics: Adding in dark areas where the Thief and Soldier have to light up a torch to see where the player can jump Lava that kills the player much more quickly than spikes or acid Balance puzzles where the player must take into account how much weight two sides of a scale have so that the player can proceed We do reach the final boss in this part and as you may guess, it's a platforming challenge in which the stage actively puts obstacles in your way that you must destroy before you can move on. When you get to the top of the tower you see a cut scene where you defeat the corrupted old king and reunited the artifacts to return balance to the world and vanquish the undead menace. Part 3: Levels Comp

Kirby's Dream Land Review

Kirby's Dream Land is a Nintendo Game Boy action-platformer developed by HAL Laboratories and published by Nintendo. Masahiro Sakurai designed this game to be an introduction to the genre that allows beginning players to ease into learning the basic mechanics while not stressing out over staying alive. In this game, the self proclaimed King Dedede has gone out and stole all of the foot in Dream Land. Kirby has to travel through four levels to get to King Dedede's palace and defeat him to return the food to the good citizens of Dream Land. In each level, the player must travel through several different scenes to reach an end boss that they must defeat before moving on to the next level. To combat the enemies that try to impede Kirby, Kirby can inhale and draw the enemy or other obstacle into his mouth. Then the player can decide to either swallow it or spit it out to damage other enemies or destroy blocks in the way. To help the player jump up to high platforms or recover

Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Part 3

In this episode of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, we continue with third month of school. This part has less story and more freedom in how you lead the class. In this part, we take part in some auxiliary battles, promote our characters to the next class, complete some requests, and finally complete some support cut-scenes to start the character specific interactions. On the first free day in the month, we searched through the school and talked to every student and completed some quests. The first main quest opens up the school counselor. The counselor handles requests from the students and other members of the faculty and it's up to the player to decide which one of three responses would best. Choosing the best response increases the bond between the player and the person who asked the person. The second main quest opens up the market place and introduces the player to the battalion commander. He can allow the characters to purchase new battalions and refresh the battalions that

Trine: Enchanted Edition - Part 2

Continuing Trine, our heroes travel from the Astral Academy and through the underground to the Throne of the Lost King. After learning about three different artifacts, one of which is the Trine, the artifact of the soul, the heroes travel through the Dragon Graveyard. In this level, the platforming starts to ramp up in that multiple levels of platforms need to be negotiated to proceeded along with more skeleton snipers waiting to pick you off if you cross their path. More of the pits have spikes which forces the heroes to maintain their height above ground so that they don't get impaled. The Wizard also gains a new ability to conjure planks that can be used by the heroes to cross simple gaps between platforms or ramps up to secrets. The next level, the Crystal Caverns uses falling rocks and broken bridges to knock the heroes down a bottomless pit to their doom. As the name implies, the Crystal Caverns are covered with sharp crystals that damage the player if they were to

Fire Emblem: Three Houses - Part 2

Last time we played Fire Emblem: Three Houses, we finished the Prologue and Chapter 1 by starting teaching the Golden Deer House at Garegg Mach Monastery. In this part, we learned more about the mechanics of running the class and participate in our first true battle by cleaning up the bandits that chased the heirs in the Prologue. We begin by exploring the grounds to talk with each of the students and other professors. Our father, Jeralt, a former captain in the Knights of Seiros, the church's defense force, gives us a side quest to go to his office and get a book to learn about the Battalion mechanic. The Battalion mechanic is a battle mechanic in which you unlock different groups, such as the Kights of Seiros or Jeralt's mercenary corps, that that support individual units that have enough Authority to sway them. These supporters then provide bonuses to the unit like boosting stats. One other ability that Battalions grant is an extra command called Gambits. When activat
